About Crystal Summit

Crystal Summit puts five reels on a row of snowy summits. Each reel shows three symbols and ten fixed lines run across them from left to right. The amethyst cluster, the emerald heart and the sapphire are the strongest symbols; the small pink, turquoise and orange crystals land more often and score less.

The crystal peak is the wild and stands in for any gem or the ice axe on a line. Three or more sunrise symbols anywhere on the reels start eight bonus spins at your current stake. Bonus spins never take points from your total, and three more suns during the run add another eight.

How to play

  1. Choose a stake. It is shared evenly across all ten lines, so each line carries a tenth of it.
  2. Press Spin and watch the reels settle from left to right.
  3. Three or more matching symbols in a row on a line, starting from the leftmost reel, score. Crystal peaks count as any symbol except the sun.
  4. Three or more suns anywhere start eight bonus spins, played automatically one after another.
  5. Your total updates as soon as the round ends, bonus spins included, and the round counts once towards your level.

Design notes

Ten lines is a deliberate middle ground: enough to make most rounds interesting, few enough to trace by eye. Line 1 runs through the middle row, lines 2 and 3 through the top and bottom rows, lines 4 and 5 form a V and an inverted V, and lines 6 to 10 step between rows.

Before opening we nudged the three small crystals up a little. Short sessions felt flat without that change, and the gems at the top of the table did not need to move at all.
