Privacy notice
This notice explains how personal data is handled when you use levelorn.com. We collect as little as we can: there are no accounts, no tracking or advertising cookies and no third-party analytics.
1. Who is responsible
The controller of personal data processed through this website is Rita Karapetyan, Individual Entrepreneur, registered in Armenia under reg. no. 273.325.0847193, of Yerevanyan Highway 215, Vanadzor 2019, Armenia. For anything about your data, write to privacy@levelorn.com or use the contact form.
2. What we collect
- Messages you send us: your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message.
- Technical data: like every website, our server receives your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. This is written to standard web server logs.
- Form protection: when you send a message we store a one-way scrambled version of your IP address for up to an hour, to stop automated spam.
We do not collect payment details, dates of birth, identity documents or location data, and we never see your points, level or feats.
3. Why we use it and on what basis
- To read and answer your message: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or steps you ask us to take.
- To keep the site secure and working, and to prevent abuse: our legitimate interest in running a safe website.
- To meet legal obligations, if a regulator or court requires it.
4. Data kept on your device
Your age answer, cookie choice, points, level, feats and settings are kept in your browser's storage, not on our servers. The cookie policy lists every item, what it does and how long it lasts. You can clear it at any time from your run card or your browser settings.
5. How long we keep it
Messages are kept for up to 12 months after our last reply, then deleted. Web server logs are kept for a short period, normally no longer than 30 days, unless we need them to investigate misuse. Scrambled IP records for spam protection are removed after an hour.
6. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data or share it for advertising. Our hosting provider processes server data on our behalf under a written agreement. We disclose data to others only where the law requires it. Because Levelorn is published from Armenia, personal data you send us is handled there. Armenia does not have a UK adequacy decision, so we protect these transfers with safeguards recognised under UK data protection law: the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses. You can ask us for a copy of the safeguards at privacy@levelorn.com.
7. Your rights
Under UK data protection law you can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and ask for it in a portable format. Write to privacy@levelorn.com. We will reply within one month, and there is no charge in most cases.
8. Children
Levelorn is for adults aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If a child has written to us, let us know and the message will be erased.
9. Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office, the UK regulator, at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
10. Changes to this notice
We will update this notice if the way we handle data changes, and the date at the top will show when it last changed.
